What products do you offer? 

Apriori Decor specialises in hand-crafting Jesmonite homeware, sculptural and scented container candles. 

Are all products hand-made?

All Jesmonite products and candles are hand-made in our studio in Zurich. It takes a lot of time and effort to make each piece glow. The moulds are necessary for hand-pouring every item, and we do our best to create an outstanding design. Since the products are hand-made and poured, they may not be equal. You will not find the exact same piece even though the form and the design might be similar. Please, be aware that there might be differences or some unique features that may not be considered a fault.

Do you sell gift cards? 

Yes, you can buy a physical or electronic gift card of 50 and 100 CHF. 
We love the fact that customers buy our products as gifts. In our opinion, Apriori items are perfect presents, as they make people happier and their home cozier and stylish.

Do you take custom orders?

Yes, we take custom orders starting from 200 CHF. So please email us if you wish to order something specific or would like to make a big order for your home, office or some event. We will gladly make you an offer and discuss all the details to make your experience with our studio as comfortable and successful as possible. 

What is Jesmonite? 

Jesmonite is supplied as two components, a water-based acrylic liquid and a mineral base. The benefits of Jesmonite are: 
— It is solid and durable, thus impact-resistant material. 
— It is lighter than stone, concrete, sand or cement. 
— It can replicate the finest detail. 
— It has a class zero fire rating, reduced smoke density and toxicity. It is solvent free with no VOCs. 
— It is more eco-friendly.
— It can be pigmented in any colour and mimic any texture.

Is Jesmonite eco-friendly?

Jesmonite products are safe, non-solvent alternatives to solvent-based products such as fibreglass and polyester resin. They are also lightweight alternatives to heavyweight cast concrete and traditional stone.

Are the Jesmonite products waterproof? 

Jesmonite is a porous material, but we cover all the products with a waterproof sealer. 
It's fine to use Jesmonite products in the bathroom, even if it gets wet. But we do not recommend keeping the Jesmonite products in a water or wet environment for a long time. 

Are the Jesmonite products heat resistant? 

We cover some Jesmonite products, such as candle holders and containers, with a heat-resistant sealer. Please, check the characteristics of each product specifically.  
It is not advised to use Jesmonite in dishwasher and microwave.

Is Jesmonite food safe?

There was not enough testing to state that Jesmonite products are safe for food. Therefore, we do not recommend using our products for food. Still, you can use Jesmonite products in many other ways, such as trays or holders for your cosmetics, jewellery and candles or simply as decorative elements for your interior. 

How to clean Jesmonite products?

Please, do not wash Jesmonite products in water. Instead, use a soft cleaning cloths or, in very urgent cases, a wet wipe to clean the product. 

Which wax do you use for candles? 

We use raps wax for sculptural candles. For scented container candles, we use raps wax or its blend with other waxes to give the candle the best quality. 

Rapeseed Wax is a soft, buttery, white wax obtained from rapeseed oil, so, it is natural and sustainable wax as well. Raspeed wax is very common in Switzerland as the plants are grown mostly in Europe. 

Paraffin is the most used type of wax. It is less expensive but less eco-friendly as a byproduct of the crude oil refinement process. Paraffin is usually whiter than other waxes. It holds scents better but burns quicker because of the low melting temperature. Paraffin is harder, less oily and does not stick to your hands. Also, when it burns, it does not spill that much. 

Where do you ship to, and what are the shipping rates? 

At this point, we only ship to Switzerland.

How long will my order take?

We prepare and send orders within 2-4 business days from the order confirmation. At the moment the shipping of the orders takes part twice a week. The shipping will take from 2-5 business days. 

What is your return policy? 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. If you would like to make a return, we ask you to get back to us with this decision within 14 days of receiving the product.
The sales or damaged items cannot be returned.
